Strategic Alliance to Deploy Airbus Flexrotor Drones Across International Markets

Mumbai: IPO-bound drone technology company Garuda Aerospace has entered into a strategic partnership with France-based Extensee SAS to offer advanced drone-as-a-service (DaaS) solutions across global markets. The collaboration marks a significant step in Garuda Aerospace's international expansion strategy and strengthens its position in the rapidly growing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) sector.

The partnership will focus on deploying Airbus-developed Flexrotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for commercial and industrial applications worldwide. Through this alliance, Garuda Aerospace aims to provide end-to-end drone services for sectors such as infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, defense support, energy, environmental surveillance, and disaster management.

Leveraging Extensee's Operational Expertise

Under the agreement, Extensee SAS will provide critical operational support required for international drone deployments. This includes mission planning and management, regulatory flight approvals, qualified drone operators and pilots, maintenance services, airworthiness management, safety compliance systems, spare parts logistics, and technical support.

The collaboration is expected to help Garuda Aerospace accelerate market entry in multiple regions while ensuring compliance with local aviation regulations and safety standards.

According to the company, combining Garuda's drone technology expertise with Extensee's operational infrastructure will enable seamless and scalable drone services for enterprise customers across different geographies.

Building on Airbus Flexrotor Acquisition

The announcement follows Garuda Aerospace's earlier agreement with Airbus Helicopters signed in March this year. Under that deal, the company committed to acquiring 18 Airbus Flexrotor Uncrewed Aerial Systems as part of its strategy to expand its high-end drone leasing and services portfolio.

The Flexrotor is a long-endurance vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, inspection, and mapping operations. Its ability to operate in challenging environments without requiring conventional runways makes it suitable for a wide range of commercial and government applications.

By integrating these advanced UAVs into its fleet, Garuda Aerospace is positioning itself to serve growing demand for autonomous aerial solutions across international markets.
