Three suspects detained at Kota railway station have been taken into Mumbai Police custody under transit remand. Investigators are probing the alleged shooting at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area, including possible links to individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Three Accused to Be Transferred to Mumbai

A Mumbai Police team is scheduled to bring three accused in the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff from Kota, Rajasthan, to Mumbai on Tuesday, October 20, after completing the necessary legal formalities.

The police team obtained transit remand permission on Monday evening but decided to remain in Kota overnight to avoid travelling at night. The three accused were kept under close security at the Railway Colony Police Station, where local police maintained a strict vigil.

Station House Officer Ramswaroop said security arrangements had been strengthened because of the seriousness of the case. He also said CCTV cameras at the police station were directly connected to police headquarters.

The transfer will allow Mumbai Police to continue its investigation and question the accused about the alleged shooting, their movements after the incident and the possible involvement of other individuals.

Suspects Detained Aboard Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express

Kota city police detained the three suspects on Monday morning from the general coach of the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express at Kota railway station.

Two of the accused were identified as Ritik, also known as Roshan, from Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan from Sonipat in Haryana. The third accused is a juvenile.

Following their detention, Kota police handed them over to Mumbai Police. The Mumbai team formally arrested them and produced them before a magistrate, who granted transit remand to facilitate their transfer to Mumbai.

The police investigation is expected to examine the suspects’ movements before and after the shooting, their communications and any potential connections with other people under investigation.

The allegations remain subject to the ongoing investigation and judicial process.

What Happened in the Juhu Firing Incident?

The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where at least two men allegedly fired several rounds at a car associated with Tiger Shroff before fleeing on a motorcycle.

According to Mumbai Police, five to six rounds were fired at the vehicle. Shroff escaped relatively unhurt, while his driver and a bystander sustained injuries.

The incident prompted a police investigation involving the identification of the alleged shooters, examination of their escape route and efforts to trace those suspected of assisting them.

A motorcycle believed to have been used by the shooters was subsequently found abandoned in Andheri, adding another lead to the investigation.

The police are examining the sequence of events and the available evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Police Investigate Possible Gang Links

Investigators are also examining a possible connection between one of the accused and individuals allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to police information cited in the report, Rehan was in contact with Anil Pandit, described as an alleged associate of the gang. The gang reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post, but the claim has not been independently verified.

Police will need to establish the authenticity and significance of the alleged communications, determine whether they relate to the shooting and investigate whether any other individuals were involved.

The investigation is also expected to examine whether the accused acted independently or allegedly received instructions, assistance or logistical support from others.

A social media claim or an alleged association does not, by itself, establish responsibility for a crime. The findings will depend on evidence collected and assessed by investigators.

Suspects’ Movements After the Shooting Under Scrutiny

According to the police account, the accused allegedly travelled to Surat after the incident and boarded a train heading towards Jaipur.

They were reportedly planning to travel to Delhi by bus before attempting to flee to Nepal. Their detention at Kota railway station interrupted that alleged plan.

Investigators are likely to examine their travel movements, communications and any assistance they may have received during the journey. Such information could help police reconstruct the timeline and determine whether additional people played a role.

The transfer to Mumbai will enable investigators to continue questioning the accused under the applicable legal procedures and pursue leads connected with the case.

Attempt-to-Murder and Arms Act Charges

Mumbai Police have registered a case under provisions relating to attempt to murder and the Arms Act.

The investigation will focus on establishing who fired the shots, the circumstances and motive behind the incident, the weapons allegedly used and whether any broader conspiracy was involved.

The police may also examine forensic evidence, CCTV footage, witness statements, vehicle movements and digital communications as part of the investigation.

The legal proceedings will determine the charges that can ultimately be sustained against each accused. The juvenile suspect's case will be handled under the applicable juvenile justice framework.

Investigation Continues as Police Pursue Further Leads

The transfer of the three accused from Kota to Mumbai marks an important step in the investigation, but several questions remain unresolved, including the motive behind the shooting and the extent of any alleged involvement by other individuals.

Police are expected to continue gathering evidence and examining possible links between the suspects, the alleged shooters and individuals mentioned during the investigation.

The case has also renewed attention on security concerns surrounding high-profile individuals and the challenges investigators face when suspects allegedly move across states after a serious crime.

The immediate focus remains on establishing the facts, identifying any additional suspects and ensuring that the investigation proceeds through the appropriate legal process.
