Fintech platform Moneyview debuts at ₹55.61 on BSE and ₹55 on NSE after its ₹1,091.68-crore IPO was subscribed 98.46 times
Shares of Moneyview made a strong debut on the Indian stock exchanges on Thursday, October 1, 2026, with the fintech company's stock listing substantially above its IPO issue price.
Moneyview shares opened at ₹55.61 apiece on the BSE, representing a gain of ₹21.61, or 63.56 per cent, over the IPO price of ₹34.
On the NSE, the shares debuted at ₹55, translating into a gain of 61.76 per cent from the upper end of the IPO price band.
The strong debut came after exceptionally high investor demand for the company's public issue. Moneyview's ₹1,091.68-crore IPO was subscribed 98.46 times, with particularly strong participation from qualified institutional buyers and non-institutional investors.
The listing also came significantly above the unofficial grey-market indications available before the debut, highlighting the strength of demand when the stock actually entered the listed market.
₹1,091.68-Crore IPO Receives Exceptional Response
Moneyview's IPO comprised a fresh issue of ₹750 crore and an offer for sale of up to ₹341.68 crore by existing shareholders.
The company had fixed the IPO price band at ₹32-₹34 per share, with investors bidding at the upper end of the range. The IPO opened for subscription on September 24 and closed on September 28, with the shares scheduled for listing on October 1.
The final subscription figures demonstrated very strong demand across investor categories.
The QIB portion was subscribed 227.45 times, while the NII category was subscribed 115.41 times. Retail investors subscribed to the issue 19.57 times, taking the overall subscription to 98.46 times.
The company had also raised more than ₹327 crore through its anchor book ahead of the IPO. The anchor allocation included participation from domestic mutual funds and institutional investors.
Listing Beats Grey-Market Expectations
Moneyview's actual market debut was stronger than the premium indicated by the grey market ahead of listing.
Before the debut, the latest reported grey-market premium was around ₹14 over the ₹34 upper issue price, implying an indicative price of approximately ₹48 and a premium of about 41 per cent.
The actual BSE listing at ₹55.61 therefore represented a substantially stronger opening than that unofficial indication.
Grey-market premiums are unofficial and can change rapidly. They should therefore be viewed as an indicator of pre-listing sentiment rather than a reliable measure of the eventual trading price.
The first exchange listing now provides the market with an official price discovery mechanism for Moneyview shares.
Moneyview's Digital Financial Services Platform
Moneyview operates as a digital financial services platform that connects consumers with banks, NBFCs, insurers and other financial institutions.
Its platform provides access to products including:
-
Personal loans
-
Insurance
-
Credit cards
-
Digital gold
-
Other digital financial services
The company has also expanded into on-balance-sheet lending through its subsidiary Whizdm Finance, while continuing to work with lending partners through an asset-light model.
As of June 2026, Moneyview had approximately 14.03 crore registered users and 48 financial partners integrated into its platform.
The company has built its user base by focusing on consumers across India's expanding digital financial-services market.
User Base Continues to Expand
Moneyview's registered user base increased from 8.33 crore in March 2024 to 13.41 crore in March 2026, before reaching 14.03 crore by June 2026.
The company has also reported strong growth in loan disbursals. According to Business Standard's IPO coverage, loan disbursals increased by 31.08 per cent in FY2026.
Another notable change has been the increasing contribution of repeat borrowers. Repeat AUM accounted for 62.7 per cent of total AUM at the end of June 2026, compared with 42.1 per cent in March 2024.
The increasing share of repeat AUM provides an important operating metric as the company attempts to expand its digital lending franchise.
Revenue Jumps 43% in FY2026
Moneyview's financial performance has also shown strong revenue growth.
For FY2026, the company's revenue increased 43.3 per cent year-on-year to ₹3,351.16 crore, compared with ₹2,339.15 crore in FY2025.
Operating profit increased by 58.8 per cent to ₹2,105.99 crore, while operating profit margin improved to 62.84 per cent from 56.70 per cent.
However, reported profit after tax increased only around 1 per cent to approximately ₹242.71 crore, compared with ₹240.28 crore in the previous financial year.
The difference between strong revenue and operating-profit growth and relatively modest PAT growth is an important factor for investors to monitor as Moneyview begins its life as a listed company.
Q1 FY2027 Shows Sharp Profit Growth
Moneyview's most recent quarterly numbers were considerably stronger.
For the quarter ended June 2026, revenue from operations increased approximately 50.2 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,041.11 crore, compared with ₹693.05 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Consolidated net profit increased 158.8 per cent to ₹173.8 crore, compared with ₹67.15 crore a year earlier.
EBITDA rose approximately 88 per cent to ₹424.05 crore from ₹225.56 crore, according to reported quarterly results.
The June-quarter performance provides a strong recent growth reference point, although future results will determine whether the pace can be sustained.
IPO Funds to Support Lending Growth
A substantial portion of Moneyview's fresh issue proceeds will be directed towards expanding its lending business.
The company plans to use approximately ₹325 crore from the net fresh issue proceeds to support growth in loan disbursals under default loss guarantee (DLG) arrangements.
Another ₹250 crore is planned for investment in Whizdm Finance to strengthen the subsidiary's capital base. The balance is intended for general corporate purposes.
The allocation means the IPO is primarily aimed at supporting the company's growth strategy rather than simply providing an exit opportunity for existing investors.
Asset-Light Model Remains Important
Moneyview has developed an asset-light approach to lending by working with a network of financial partners.
According to Business Standard's IPO coverage, around 75 per cent of lending was managed off the balance sheet through lending partners, while the remaining 25 per cent was conducted through its own NBFC.
This structure can allow the company to expand its distribution and financial-product business without carrying the entire lending exposure on its own balance sheet.
However, credit quality, partner economics, customer acquisition costs and regulatory requirements remain important factors for the business.
Technology and Data Form a Core Part of the Business
Moneyview uses technology, artificial intelligence and machine-learning models in areas such as customer segmentation and credit assessment.
According to IPO disclosures, its in-house models use more than 100,000 data variables for user segmentation and credit assessment.
The use of data-driven underwriting is particularly relevant for a digital lending platform because the ability to assess borrowers efficiently can influence approval rates, credit quality and customer acquisition economics.
At the same time, financial technology businesses operate in a heavily regulated environment, making compliance, data protection and responsible lending important areas for investors to monitor.
Strong Listing Puts Focus on Valuation and Execution
The sharp listing gain gives Moneyview a significantly higher market price than the ₹34 IPO issue price.
For investors, the focus now shifts from IPO subscription demand to the company's ability to deliver sustained growth as a listed entity.
Key factors to watch will include revenue growth, profitability, loan disbursals, repeat customer activity, AUM growth, credit quality and the performance of Whizdm Finance.
The market will also assess whether the company's current growth rates can justify the valuation established through post-listing trading.
Competitive and Regulatory Environment
India's digital financial-services market has expanded rapidly, attracting fintech companies, banks, NBFCs and technology platforms.
Moneyview competes for customers across several financial-product categories, including digital lending, insurance and credit-related services.
The company therefore faces competition on pricing, customer acquisition, technology, distribution and underwriting capabilities.
Regulatory changes affecting digital lending, consumer protection, data usage and NBFC operations could also influence the company's future growth strategy.
What Investors Will Watch After Listing
Following its strong debut, several operating indicators are likely to remain under close observation.
Loan growth: Sustained growth in loan disbursals will be important for revenue expansion.
Credit quality: As lending scales, investors will monitor asset quality and potential credit losses.
Repeat AUM: The rising share of repeat customers can provide insight into customer retention and platform engagement.
Profitability: Investors will look for consistency between revenue growth, operating profit and reported net profit.
Capital deployment: The utilisation of IPO proceeds towards DLG-supported lending and Whizdm Finance will be important.
Regulation: Changes in India's digital-lending and financial-services regulatory framework could affect the company's operations.
Market Outlook
Moneyview's 63.56 per cent BSE listing premium marks a strong start for the newly listed fintech company, following an IPO that attracted exceptionally high subscription across institutional and non-institutional categories.
The next phase will shift attention from listing gains to business execution, earnings growth, credit quality and the deployment of IPO proceeds.
The company's rapidly expanding user base, strong recent revenue growth and sharp improvement in June-quarter profit provide important operating indicators. At the same time, the relatively modest FY2026 PAT growth compared with revenue and operating-profit growth highlights the importance of tracking the quality and sustainability of earnings.
As Moneyview begins trading as a listed company, its quarterly financial results, loan-disbursal growth, AUM trends, repeat customer activity and regulatory developments will become key variables for assessing the company's performance over the longer term.
