Adani companies, Aditya Infotech, Coforge, Arvind SmartSpaces, Sapphire Foods and several other stocks are in focus after key regulatory, fundraising, business and corporate announcements
Indian equities are set to track a mix of global cues, commodity prices and company-specific developments on Wednesday, September 23, with several stocks likely to remain in focus following announcements made after the previous trading session.
GIFT Nifty indicated a cautious start in early trade, while Asian markets were mixed to positive. In the US, the Nasdaq extended its record-setting run amid continued strength in artificial-intelligence stocks.
Meanwhile, crude oil prices remained an important macroeconomic indicator, with Brent crude trading below $100 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate crude below $90 in early indications.
Against this backdrop, a series of company-specific developments could drive stock-level activity during the session.
Adani Group stocks in focus after SEBI settlement
Five Adani Group companies — Adani Enterprises, Adani Total Gas, AWL Agri Business, Adani Green Energy and Adani Energy Solutions — have settled adjudication proceedings with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The proceedings originated from SEBI's examination of issues highlighted in the Hindenburg Research report and involved matters including alleged lapses relating to disclosure of related-party transactions and audit or limited-review reports.
The five companies collectively paid around ₹1.51 crore under the settlement proceedings. The settlements were made without the companies admitting or denying the allegations.
The regulatory development is therefore likely to remain a near-term focus for investors tracking Adani Group companies, particularly given the wider regulatory scrutiny that followed the Hindenburg report.
Aditya Infotech: ₹1,500 crore QIP opens
Aditya Infotech, the company behind the CP Plus surveillance-equipment brand, is another major stock in focus.
The company opened a qualified institutional placement (QIP) on September 22 with a floor price of ₹3,648.43 per equity share. The company may offer a discount of up to 5 per cent to the applicable floor price.
The proposed fundraising is intended to support repayment of certain borrowings, capital expenditure, potential inorganic growth and general corporate purposes.
The stock has already witnessed substantial appreciation in 2026, making the QIP and the deployment of the raised capital important factors for investors to monitor.
Coforge expands AI capabilities
IT services company Coforge has expanded its AgenticOps capabilities under its Nuuron platform.
The initiative is aimed at helping enterprises deploy and manage AI agents in a more secure and scalable manner.
The development comes as global technology companies and enterprise customers increasingly explore agentic artificial intelligence for automation, software development, customer service and business processes.
For Coforge, the ability to convert AI capabilities into new client engagements and incremental revenue will remain an important factor as the IT services industry adjusts to the rapidly changing technology landscape.
Sapphire Foods receives GST notices
Sapphire Foods is in focus after receiving GST show-cause notices aggregating to substantial amounts.
The company received a notice of approximately ₹516.84 crore under the Tamil Nadu SGST Act relating to the April 2023-March 2024 period. It also received another GST show-cause notice of approximately ₹21.47 crore relating to FY23.
A show-cause notice represents a regulatory tax proceeding and does not by itself establish that the amount claimed is ultimately payable.
Investors will therefore monitor the company's response, the basis of the tax authorities' claims and any subsequent developments.
Arvind SmartSpaces crosses ₹500 crore booking mark
Arvind SmartSpaces is also likely to remain in focus after its Bengaluru project, Arvind Sylva, crossed ₹500 crore in bookings within 30 days of launch.
The company said around 60 per cent of the project's inventory had been absorbed by value, while the project has a potential topline of approximately ₹860 crore.
Strong initial bookings can provide visibility into demand for the developer's projects, although subsequent construction progress, collections and project execution remain important indicators of actual financial performance.
Cupid raises FY27 guidance
Cupid has revised its financial guidance upwards for FY27.
The company now expects FY27 revenue of ₹725-750 crore and net profit of ₹210-225 crore.
For FY28, the company has indicated a revenue target of ₹1,085 crore, while FY29 revenue guidance stands at ₹1,500 crore.
The company is also targeting ₹150 crore of FY27 revenue from distribution expansion and sees an annual revenue opportunity of approximately ₹500 crore from this initiative.
The revised guidance makes execution, distribution expansion and margin performance key factors to track in upcoming quarters.
Innovision: lock-in expiry for 54% of outstanding shares
Innovision is in focus as the lock-in period ends for approximately 54 per cent of its outstanding shares.
A lock-in expiry allows previously restricted shares to become eligible for trading, although the expiry itself does not mean that shareholders will necessarily sell.
The potential increase in freely tradable shares can nevertheless affect liquidity and market dynamics, particularly in recently listed companies.
Investors will therefore monitor trading volumes and shareholder actions following the expiry.
Pine Labs: Mastercard exits stake
Pine Labs is another stock attracting attention after Mastercard exited its entire 4.31 per cent stake in the fintech company for approximately ₹933.57 crore.
The transaction involved participation from a number of institutional investors, including Citigroup Global Markets, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Societe Generale, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, Morgan Stanley and ICICI Prudential.
Large institutional transactions can influence near-term trading interest and provide visibility into changes in the shareholder structure.
RHI Magnesita India sees large block transaction
RHI Magnesita India is in focus after Dalmia Bharat Refractories sold approximately 2.29 crore shares worth ₹825.88 crore.
Several institutional investors participated in the transaction, including Bandhan Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund and Nippon India Mutual Fund.
The transaction represents a significant change in shareholding and could remain a point of interest as the market assesses the new ownership structure.
Brookfield India REIT signs ₹75.2 crore acquisition deal
Brookfield India Real Estate Investment Trust is also in the spotlight.
Its special-purpose vehicle, Kairos Properties, signed an agreement to acquire office units on the fifth and sixth floors of the Delphi building in Downtown Powai, Mumbai, for ₹75.2 crore.
The transaction adds to the REIT's commercial real-estate portfolio and comes amid continued institutional interest in high-quality office assets in major Indian business hubs.
Office demand, occupancy levels, rental growth and acquisition economics will remain important variables for commercial REITs.
Spectrum Electrical Industries partners with Maharashtra government
Spectrum Electrical Industries has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government for the development and upgrading of a government Industrial Training Institute in Jalgaon under a public-private partnership model.
The initiative could provide the company with an opportunity to participate in industrial skill-development infrastructure while supporting vocational training.
The broader focus on strengthening technical skills and industry-oriented training remains relevant for manufacturing companies facing growing demand for specialised workers.
360 ONE WAM announces leadership transition
Wealth-management company 360 ONE WAM has announced a leadership transition.
Aashish Agarwal is scheduled to become Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel effective February 15, 2027.
Karan Bhagat will continue as Managing Director until July 2030 and will additionally become Vice-Chairman and Managing Director from February 15, 2027.
The leadership structure will be closely monitored as the company continues to expand its wealth-management and investment platform.
Global and commodity cues
Apart from company-specific developments, global markets and commodities remain important inputs for the Indian market.
US technology stocks continued to show strength, with the Nasdaq reaching another record high amid enthusiasm surrounding artificial-intelligence companies.
Asian markets were mixed, while crude oil prices edged lower amid signs of some easing in West Asia-related concerns. Brent crude was around $98.82 a barrel, while WTI was near $89.80 in the early market indications cited in the report.
Lower crude prices can be relevant for India because the country remains heavily dependent on imported crude oil. However, currency movements, geopolitical developments and the sustainability of the decline will determine the broader impact on Indian equities.
Market Outlook
Wednesday's trading session is likely to remain highly stock-specific, with regulatory developments, fundraising, block transactions, business updates and earnings guidance driving individual counters.
Adani Group companies will remain in focus following the SEBI settlement, while Aditya Infotech's ₹1,500 crore QIP puts institutional fundraising and capital allocation at the centre of attention. Coforge's AI expansion, Arvind SmartSpaces' strong project bookings and Cupid's upgraded guidance provide additional company-specific developments.
At the broader market level, global technology strength and softer crude prices offer important external cues, while geopolitical developments, currency movements and foreign institutional flows remain key variables.
Investors will therefore be watching both the broader market direction and the ability of individual companies to translate their latest announcements into sustained business performance.
