Accel-backed fintech platform Moneyview is set to open its IPO on September 24, with a ₹750 crore fresh issue and an offer for sale of up to 100.49 million shares

Accel-backed fintech company Moneyview is preparing to enter India's primary market with a trimmed initial public offering (IPO) that values the company at up to ₹5,985 crore, or around $624 million.

The IPO is scheduled to open for public subscription on September 24 and will remain open until September 28. The company's shares are expected to begin trading on the stock exchanges from October 1, while anchor investors will have an opportunity to participate in the issue on September 23.

Moneyview, formerly known as Whizdm Innovations, operates a digital financial services platform that connects consumers with a range of financial products offered through banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), insurers and other financial institutions.

IPO size reduced from earlier proposal

The proposed public issue represents a significant reduction from the IPO structure outlined in Moneyview's earlier draft red herring prospectus.

The current IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth ₹750 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 100.49 million shares by existing shareholders.

Earlier, the company had proposed a fresh issue of ₹1,500 crore along with an OFS of 136.1 million shares.

The company has not immediately specified the reason behind the reduction in the overall issue size.

The smaller issue means the company will raise less fresh capital through the public offering than originally planned, while existing investors will also offer fewer shares for sale.

How Moneyview plans to use IPO proceeds

The proceeds from the fresh issue are expected to support the company's growth plans.

Moneyview plans to use the funds to drive growth in loan disbursals, invest in a subsidiary and meet general corporate requirements.

The deployment of fresh capital toward loan-related growth is particularly relevant to the company's business model, given its role in connecting customers with financial institutions and facilitating access to credit products.

The ability to scale loan disbursals while maintaining the quality of its lending ecosystem will remain an important factor as the company transitions to the listed market.

Promoters and major investors to sell shares

The OFS component will allow existing shareholders to monetise part of their holdings.

Promoters Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal are each expected to sell up to 13.55 million shares.

Existing institutional investors, including Accel, Tiger Global and Ribbit Capital, are also participating in the OFS.

The participation of these early-stage investors provides an opportunity for existing shareholders to partially realise their investments through the public market.

Since the OFS proceeds go to selling shareholders rather than the company, the fresh issue is the portion of the IPO that directly provides new capital to Moneyview.

Strong growth in revenue and profitability

Moneyview's financial performance has strengthened significantly ahead of the IPO.

According to its annual report, consolidated profit before exceptional items increased 65.4 per cent to ₹397 crore in fiscal 2026.

Revenue increased 43.3 per cent during the year to ₹3,351 crore.

The growth was driven largely by an increase in fees and commissions collected from users, reflecting the expansion of Moneyview's financial product distribution business.

The combination of double-digit revenue growth and faster growth in profit before exceptional items has strengthened the company's financial profile ahead of its stock-market debut.

A diversified financial product ecosystem

Moneyview operates through a network of banks, NBFCs, insurers and other financial institutions, allowing users to access multiple financial products through its platform.

Its fintech model is focused on using technology and digital distribution to connect consumers with financial services providers.

Such platforms have benefited from the increasing adoption of digital financial services in India, including online credit discovery, digital lending and insurance distribution.

For Moneyview, expanding its user base and increasing the number and value of financial products accessed through the platform could remain important drivers of future revenue.

IPO arrives amid renewed primary-market activity

Moneyview's IPO comes at a time when activity in India's primary market has accelerated during the second half of 2026.

The first half of the year was relatively subdued amid geopolitical uncertainty and cautious investor sentiment. However, IPO activity has subsequently picked up, with several companies preparing to access the public markets.

Moneyview's offering therefore becomes part of a broader pipeline of companies seeking capital and providing existing investors with an exit route through the public market.

The response to the IPO could also provide an indication of investor appetite for technology-led financial services businesses.

What investors will track

Investors are likely to focus on several factors during the IPO process, including Moneyview's valuation, revenue growth, profitability, loan-disbursal expansion and the company's ability to sustain its financial performance after listing.

The composition of the IPO is another important consideration. The ₹750 crore fresh issue will provide capital to the company, while the OFS represents the sale of shares by existing shareholders.

The company's future performance will also depend on the competitive environment in digital financial services and the ability of Moneyview to maintain relationships with banks, NBFCs, insurers and other financial institutions.

Key IPO timeline

Moneyview's IPO is scheduled to follow a clearly defined timeline.

  • Anchor investor bidding: September 23, 2026

  • IPO opens: September 24, 2026

  • IPO closes: September 28, 2026

  • Expected listing: October 1, 2026

The final response from institutional and retail investors will be closely watched as the fintech company moves from the private market to public ownership.

From fintech platform to listed company

Moneyview's proposed listing represents another step in the evolution of India's fintech sector.

The company enters the public market with a business model built around digital distribution of financial products and a financial profile that has shown strong growth in FY26. At the same time, the reduction in the proposed IPO size compared with its earlier draft structure represents a notable change in the offering.

With promoters and major institutional investors participating in the OFS, the IPO will also provide the market with greater visibility into the company's shareholder structure and valuation.

As Moneyview moves toward its September 24 IPO opening, investor attention is likely to remain focused on the issue's valuation, subscription response, quality of earnings, growth strategy and its ability to sustain profitability as a listed fintech company.
