Shares of Redington Limited surged nearly 6 per cent to a fresh record high in Thursday’s trading session after Apple unveiled its latest iPhone lineup, including the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Apple’s latest iPhone launch triggers buying interest in Redington as investors anticipate stronger device demand, higher distribution volumes and improved earnings momentum

Shares of Redington Limited surged nearly 6 per cent to a fresh record high in Thursday’s trading session after Apple unveiled its latest iPhone lineup, including the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Redington is an authorised distributor of Apple products in India, making the company a key beneficiary of a strong new iPhone product cycle. Investors reacted positively to expectations of higher sales volumes, improved working-capital utilisation and stronger revenue momentum following Apple’s latest product launches.

Redington Stock Hits Record High

On the BSE, Redington shares climbed to an all-time high of ₹398.80, representing a gain of 5.54 per cent from the previous close of ₹377.85. By around 9:35 AM, the stock was trading at ₹382.45, still higher by 1.22 per cent.

Trading activity also increased significantly, with around 6 million Redington shares changing hands across the BSE and NSE combined, indicating strong investor participation.

The stock has substantially outperformed the broader market in 2026. According to exchange data, Redington shares have gained around 40 per cent so far this year, compared with a decline of nearly 12 per cent in the Sensex over the same period.

Over the past one year, the stock has risen about 57 per cent, while its five-year return stands at approximately 163 per cent.

Why the New iPhone Cycle Matters for Redington

Redington operates as a major technology and consumer-electronics distribution platform and has a strong presence across India. Its relationship with Apple gives the company exposure to demand for new iPhone models and other Apple devices.

The launch of a new flagship iPhone series typically creates a fresh upgrade cycle among existing users while also attracting consumers looking for premium smartphones.

The latest launches could therefore support Redington through higher distribution volumes, increased channel activity and greater utilisation of working capital during the initial sales period.

Analyst Sees Potential for Sustained Momentum

Seema Srivastava, Senior Research Analyst at SMC Global Securities, said the launch of the new iPhones is positive for Redington and that the momentum in the stock could potentially continue.

According to the analyst, the new iPhone cycle could support revenue growth, working-capital utilisation and earnings momentum over the coming years.

The positive outlook reflects the possibility that Apple's new product launches could provide Redington with an additional growth catalyst at a time when the stock is already trading near record levels.

Technical Outlook: ₹410–₹420 in Focus

From a technical perspective, Redington remains in a strong uptrend.

Harish Jujarey, AVP and Head of Technical Equity Research at Prithvi Finmart, said the stock has been moving steadily higher and could extend its uptrend towards the long-term rising trendline resistance around ₹410–₹420.

However, the technical setup also carries a cautionary signal. The stock’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) is consolidating in the 65–70 range, which could indicate a potential negative divergence.

A negative divergence occurs when the share price continues to make higher highs while momentum indicators fail to confirm the strength of the move. This can sometimes signal that the pace of the rally is weakening.

Profit Booking Could Emerge Near ₹400–₹420

With Redington already delivering substantial gains over the past year, investors may become increasingly cautious around higher levels.

Jujarey suggested that traders holding the stock could consider partial profit booking if the share price rallies towards the ₹400–₹420 zone.

For fresh investors, the sharp run-up also highlights the importance of distinguishing between the positive fundamental impact of Apple's product cycle and the valuation and technical risks associated with buying a stock near an all-time high.

Apple Expands Its Product Portfolio

Apple unveiled several products at its September 9 “Surprise and Shine” event.

The company entered the foldable smartphone segment with the iPhone Duo and also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The event additionally featured the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5.

The latest product lineup is expected to generate significant consumer interest globally, particularly in the premium smartphone segment.

The event was also notable as John Ternus' first major iPhone launch as Apple’s CEO after succeeding Tim Cook.

Strong Apple Demand Could Benefit Distribution Ecosystem

For Redington, the broader significance of the launch extends beyond the initial excitement around the new iPhone models.

A strong upgrade cycle can increase demand throughout the distribution chain, benefiting distributors, retailers and channel partners. Higher volumes can also improve operational leverage, although the ultimate impact on profitability will depend on product mix, margins, inventory levels and working-capital requirements.

India remains an important growth market for premium smartphones, making Apple’s product launches particularly relevant for domestic distributors.

Stock Has Already Delivered Multibagger Returns

Redington’s strong long-term performance means the latest rally comes after an already significant re-rating in the stock.

The company’s shares have gained around 163 per cent over five years and approximately 57 per cent in the last one year. The 2026 performance has also remained considerably stronger than the broader Sensex.

While the new iPhone cycle provides a fresh potential growth trigger, investors will need to monitor whether earnings growth can keep pace with the stock’s strong price performance.

Market Outlook

Redington’s fresh high following Apple’s latest iPhone launches highlights investor expectations of stronger distribution volumes and earnings momentum. The iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro series could provide a near-term business catalyst, particularly if consumer demand remains strong.

Technically, ₹400 is the immediate psychological hurdle, followed by the ₹410–₹420 zone identified as a potential long-term resistance area. At the same time, the elevated RSI and substantial gains already delivered by the stock warrant caution.

Investors should therefore track actual iPhone sales, Redington’s revenue growth, margins, working-capital utilisation and valuation before taking fresh positions. For existing shareholders, the ₹400–₹420 zone could remain important for assessing profit-booking opportunities and the sustainability of the current uptrend.
