New conversational AI tool combines market research, technical analysis, portfolio monitoring and trade execution in a single interface
WazirX has launched WazirX AI, an artificial-intelligence-powered trading assistant designed to simplify cryptocurrency research and trading by bringing market analysis, portfolio insights and order management into one conversational platform.
The new tool allows users to interact with the exchange using natural-language instructions rather than switching between charts, market-data screens, news feeds and trading windows. According to WazirX, the system is designed around an “Ask-Understand-Decide” model that can coordinate multiple trading and research functions to respond to complex requests.
WazirX AI aims to simplify the crypto trading workflow
Cryptocurrency markets operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, creating a continuous flow of price movements, news and trading opportunities. WazirX said its AI assistant is intended to reduce the time users spend collecting market information and preparing trades.
Users can ask questions about live cryptocurrency prices, market developments and macroeconomic events. The assistant can combine this information with technical-analysis tools and present the findings through conversational responses and supporting charts.
The objective is to create a single workflow covering research, analysis, decision-making and trade preparation.
Portfolio monitoring through natural-language commands
The AI assistant can also provide users with a consolidated view of their trading portfolios.
According to WazirX, users can request information such as account value, profit and loss, open positions and other portfolio details. The platform can also provide daily morning updates.
Before a trade is placed, WazirX AI can display the user's portfolio and incorporate specified risk preferences when determining a suggested position size.
This could allow traders to evaluate a potential transaction in the context of their existing positions rather than analysing each trade separately.
AI can prepare and execute spot and futures trades
A key feature of the new system is its ability to move beyond research and prepare actual orders.
WazirX said the assistant can support spot and futures trading, including market and limit orders and short positions. The system also takes into account pair-specific leverage limits.
Before execution, the proposed order is displayed through an approval interface. Users can review parameters including:
-
Entry price
-
Leverage
-
Margin
-
Stop-loss
-
Take-profit
-
Estimated loss
The additional approval stage allows users to review the proposed trade before authorising execution.
Users can create customised market alerts
WazirX AI also enables users to set monitoring conditions through ordinary-language instructions.
For instance, a trader could ask the assistant to monitor Bitcoin and notify them if its price breaks a specified support level. The system evaluates the predefined condition and sends an alert when it is triggered.
Such monitoring could be useful in crypto markets, where significant price movements can occur at any time and traders may not continuously monitor charts.
Complex technical screening can also be automated
The company said the assistant can handle multi-step technical-analysis requests.
A trader could ask the AI to screen Indian-rupee futures for four-hour momentum, filter the results according to a particular risk-reward ratio, validate shortlisted opportunities across multiple timeframes and prepare a potential order.
According to WazirX, tasks that previously required users to gather market information, analyse charts, assess technical indicators and determine risk parameters manually could potentially be completed in less than 10 minutes.
Paper-trading facility offers a testing environment
Alongside the AI assistant, WazirX has introduced a paper-trading sandbox with a simulated balance of $100,000.
The facility allows users to test strategies and understand the AI-assisted research and trading process without putting real capital at risk.
The sandbox is available to all users and could provide a way for traders to experiment with different approaches before using the platform for live transactions.
Available on Android, iOS and web
WazirX AI is available through the exchange's Android, iOS and web platforms.
The assistant uses live WazirX price data and is designed to work across both spot and futures markets. The exchange said users can access research, portfolio information, monitoring functions and trading capabilities from the same conversational interface.
AI's growing role in financial market platforms
The launch reflects the broader adoption of artificial intelligence across financial services. Trading platforms are increasingly using AI to process market information, identify patterns, monitor portfolios and automate parts of the investment workflow.
For cryptocurrency platforms, the potential benefits are particularly significant because markets remain open continuously and generate large volumes of price and market information.
At the same time, AI-assisted trading carries risks. Cryptocurrency prices can be highly volatile, and automated analysis does not guarantee that a trading decision will be profitable. The accuracy of data, assumptions used by the system and the user's risk parameters can all influence the outcome.
The availability of paper trading and an approval mechanism for live orders therefore provides users with an opportunity to test strategies and review proposed transactions before committing funds.
WazirX expands its AI-driven trading ecosystem
Founded in 2018, WazirX provides INR-based access to cryptocurrencies through spot and perpetual futures markets. The exchange said it is registered as a Reporting Entity with India's Financial Intelligence Unit and follows know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering processes.
With WazirX AI, the exchange is attempting to move beyond a conventional trading interface by integrating market research, technical analysis, portfolio monitoring, alerts and trade execution into a single conversational experience.
The success of the platform will ultimately depend on how effectively users adopt AI-assisted workflows while maintaining control over their trading decisions and risk exposure.
