Delhi customs authorities have seized hydroponic cannabis worth approximately ₹4.83 crore from an Indian passenger arriving from Bangkok, marking yet another significant success in the fight against international drug smuggling.

The seizure took place at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi, where customs officials intercepted a passenger who had arrived on an Air India flight from Bangkok on June 21. Acting on intelligence inputs and risk-based passenger profiling, authorities conducted a detailed inspection after the traveler crossed the Green Channel.

According to officials, the passenger's baggage was subjected to X-ray screening, which revealed suspicious images. A thorough examination of the luggage led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of hydroponic cannabis concealed within the baggage.
